Depressing: Romeo and Juliet (the Franco Zeffirelli version). You WILL cry.
Funny: the Pink Panther movies with Peter Sellers. Really funny, with some slapstick.
Romantic: When Harry Met Sally - a classic, and funny.
Thriller: The Shining. Some very scary parts there.
If you haven’t seen these, I think you’ll like them.
The most depressing movie I’ve ever seen is requiem for a dream. This movie wrecked me in a way that no other has before and I’ve seen a LOT of movies. It dragged me down for 2 weeks into some kind of depression… I’m scared to ever watch it again.

The most depressing movie I’ve ever seen was "Bless The Beasts And The Children" back in the 70s. I had never cried like I did at the end of that movie. It still bothers me, I think I’m scarred from it.

hmmm most depressing..idk req for a dream is pretty bad. honestly i try to forget about the bad ones. funniest one? happy gilmore always makes me laugh <,< clerks 1 and 2, galaxy quest. thrillers? is evil dead a thriller? idk…all i can think of is michael jackson…

the last samurai was a fantastic drama and beautifully done. Even if your not really into the whole ‘japanese culture craze’ then it is still very powerful and moving. Its about the changing and westernization of feudal japan and how there was resistance.
a funny movie would be Dan in Real Life. actually……anything with Steve Catrall.
The notebook was a great romance. It has a more llayeredplot then it was advertised and its really worth aany onestime.
A good thriller would be The Number 23. Scared me to death! Its a really good ppsychological thriller and will make you think.
