Because Letterman for one is an extreem left wing person who goes ballistic when he has a conservative guest like oriley on. The hate just comes out when he talks politics and makes personal insults. Jay Leno is a little bit more resonable but is still also a left winger. He at least doesn’t get ballistic and personally insult his guests. Jay is in Burbank near Hollywood and a lot of his studio audience is more left wing also so Jay is not going to go against that crowd.
I wrote the NBC offices to complain that during the Presiential elections Jay was bashing McCain and not Obama at all so I was sick of the double standard and will hardly watch Jay as I used to. I have not watched a whole Late night shw since then only a few minutes of it once in a while. I don’t watch Letterman because I don’t like his bitterness. -
Maybe because there’s nothing to make fun about Obama. He’s a good president. He’s working on the economy already.

They aren’t afraid, they’re just lazy.
Bush made it so easy for so long that comedians have forgotten how to write intelligent humor.
-
Because, Obama isn’t a hick with no political experience. He hasn’t made any huge errors.
-
because Obama hasn’t disappointed most people like bush did.
-
In fact i did hear one,we need change,oh no not another black man asking for spare change,
-
Because… If you make fun of him people may think you are racist. Additionally, it is politically incorrect
But try
-
Because there are enough Satan jokes already…
-
because bush was a idiot who made decisions that could be turned into jokes easily. Obama makes smart decisions so their is nothing to make fun of.
-
because if they did then everyone who voted for him would stop watching their shows.and he hasn’t done much yet.

He’s the first black president. I would guess there is a bit of uncertainty as to how anti-obama humor would be taken. Look at the comic that came out after that chimp attacked it’s owners friend and ate her face. The comic showed the chimp, after being shot dead by police, and an officer saying "guess we have to find someone else to write …" I forget what bill they were talking about. Immediately it was called racist, even though for 8 years G.W. Bush was compared to a chimp in comics.
It has ntohing to do with him being a "good president". I am not even disputing (or agreeing with) that view. However, even the greatest president in the history of the world still be made fun of and wind up the butt of jokes, just because he is a public figure. There is always something, about everyone, that can be targetted for humor. With someone has high profile as the president, it is inevitable … unless there is something (fear) stopping it.
Just my opinions, of course.

I’m honestly not being racist but it’s because he’s black.
I know it’s wrong but even on this site I posted a joke which definately wasn’t racist but it mentioned a black man & got removed…
Judge for yourself… -
Because they know they will be criticized by the American public (who so blindly support Obama).
Because many of those celebrities love Obama. I don’t understand why….
