I want to go in a different direction with the issue of celebrities and smoking. I’m watching the opening of the Winter Olympics ( which I love), and am appalled to see Olympic swimming champion Michael Phelps in a Subway commercial. Didn’t he get arrested for smoking pot, or some other illegal substance from a bong? What kind of mixed message and double standard is that? How is it that he can get rewarded while other champions such as Marion Jones who used steroids was stripped of her medals and sent to prison. I don’t get it.

who we should have on oprah!!

This may be a strange suggestion but Anderson Cooper is my favorite celebrity because he is such a blend of everything great.

On CNN he is serious reporter but on Regis and Kelly he is a comedic host.

On The Mole he creates suspense and drama and when he hosts New Years Eve in New York, he creates excitement and anticipation.

The fact that he has suffers from dyslexia makes him a role model for others who have a disability and the fact that he had a small spot of skin cancer removed helps him be more empathetic as a journalist and a humanitarian.

Although rumors suggest that he is gay, I still have a tremendous crush on Anderson Cooper and so, he is my favorite celebrity.

Leonardo di Caprio

I never really bothered watching Leonardo di Caprio in any movies. Sure, from a very young age I realised that he was a good actor but I can’t say I rushed out to watch any movie he starred in. Even in Titanic I kept thinking of him as a little boy. When Blood Diamond was released I put off watching the movie till it was released on DVD because I knew he was going to immitate a South African accent in the movie and I wasn’t looking forward to hearing it as most American actors don’t quite get it right. (Yes, I’m South African!!) So after months of putting off watching it, I finally gave in and rented the DVD. I was pleasantly surprised by the accent and actually managed to stop obsessing about it and started enjoying the storyline - UNTIL HE DIED AT THE END OF THE MOVIE. -(

Then I watched The Departed and about halfway through (it must have been a love scene where he picked up the actress and placed her on the kitchen counter)…. I had an “A-HA” moment of my own (not quite the “A-HA” moment Oprah had in mind I’m sure ) and realised that this man was seriously gorgeous and had grownup, seemingly overnight . I became a Leonardo di Caprio fan……….AND THEN HE DIED AT THE END OF THAT MOVIE AS WELL!

Another reason he’s my favourite celebrity is because I haven’t heard any drama or scandal about him , which appeals to my romantic nature and conservative upbringing! In a celebrity world of drugs, rehab, infidelity and starlets getting out of cars flashing their “you-know-whats” - its quite refreshing to say the least! LOL

So I’m hoping that at some point Leonardo di Caprio will make at least ONE very cheesy, romantic movie with Charlize Theron (hey at least she was born in South African) in which they meet, fall in love AND HE DOESNT GET SHOT WITH SEMI-AUTOMATIC WEAPON AT THE END OF THE MOVIE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Well, a girl can dream!

I have seen her live and I didn’t want the concert to end. I hope you get the chance too. Celine gave me goose bumps. Dont’ forget to checkout the kid Comedian Chris Hill. I I heard ths kids was writing a suspense novel too. I bet if his comedy was vulgar he would have blown up by now. SOMEHOW TAKE THE OPPORTUNITY TO SEE CELINE….SHE’SSSSS PHENOMENAL!
