I just got out of the movie theater where I saw a beautiful film.

Not an american film. No, a film from another country.

And it struck me, as it does always, when I see a movie from another country :

Outside of the United States, actors and actresses, to be good, need not be strickingly beautiful or handsome, and need not be graced with a gorgeous body.

No, on the international scene, excellent actors and actresses can be plain looking with an imperfect body.

Maybe this foreigh philosophy should be applied in the United States, since maybe it could send the message that the looks God gave us are just OK. No need obsessing about them, no need feeling inferior to the beautiful and handsome faces topping perfect bodies.

I am SO sad for Jennifer Hudson & her family. This is a tragic, tragic sick event. Ms Hudson is a wonderful young woman with everything going for her, and this will completley devastate her. (as it would anyone.) I am sorry she has to mourn publicly, although she is so beloved by the public. I have followed the story since last week and hope that they can pull some evidence off the gun found yesterday and charge someone so they can never have to wonder.

I agree and hope that Oprah is able to provide this family in trauma some comfort by being nearby.

I am sending prayers of support, love and courage their way.

Disappointment I am so Disappointed that I am unable to see Tina Turner in concert Nov. 9 in Atlanta I have Tickets that I purchased at Oprah’s pre-sale in May. I have loved Tina my whole life and now that I get a chance to see her I am unable to attend. The real disappointment came when I tried to sell these tickets for face value and realized I had the worst seats in the house. That there where much better seats at a cheaper price then the Pre-sale. Now I don’t attend concerts regularly but as I said this was a dream. I just thought that the pre-sale tickets would give us a opportunity to have better seats before the scalpers got them as they generally do. this being the reason I have only attended 3 concerts in my life. I know Oprah had no control over the seating. but I have just lost alot of money for really bad seats. I don’t think I will do any pre-sales again.
